Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding the piano in her attic, and becoming fascinated with its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to pursue music as a passion rather as a career. Thus, she began with her own music. Alongside Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. After her mother said that the songs she composed might not make her famous but instead to inspire individuals to recognize their own value and impact on the world, she started performing them publicly. She started playing piano when she was just six and was writing her first song by the time she was nine. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known to her family until she was fourteen. Aurora's accomplishments were never her goal. Aurora says she loves creating music. According to her music, it is the best method of expressing anything.
