Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian musician and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release from Decca Records. It has received a lot of praise from blogs and the press. Half the World Away from the band Oasis was recorded to accompany an ad campaign for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is the Nat King Cole cover. Katy Perry's support for the song Runaway in a blog post gave the artist some additional acknowledgement. Enjoy the celebration of this special event. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memory involves finding a small piano in her basement and being fascinated at the sound it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to pursue music solely for pleasure or as a means of development but instead, she was encouraged to explore it. In the end, she began to write songs of her own. She acknowledges Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as being her influences. Responding to her mother's suggestion that people ought not to aim to be famous through her songwriting, but instead be aware of the significance of them and the impact they have on society. She started playing piano when she was six years old and was writing her first song when she was nine. Her family didn't hear about her music until she reached fourteen. The dream was never to become Aurora. Her sole passion is to compose music. To her, music is the best means of communicating anything.
